My From Heap to Keep closet challenge is over — success! It was pretty fun, so I’m going to keep up these “fashion Fridays” for as long as I can keep fashionable.
This summer blue tee was one of my cheat items during the challenge. It was not an impulse buy though, so props to me. It’s from Aerie. I tried it on one day when I was in desperate need of new undies and it was soft + pretty + didn’t have any holes in it like all my other tees that I can’t wear in public anymore. But I put it back on the shelf…
Until a couple of weeks later when I returned and it was on sale. Then I bought it. I wasn’t joking when I said all my other plain tees have holes in them. For real. I’m gonna start patching them up + you’ll see.
I have so far paired this tee with denim shorts, jeans, coral jeans, a coral mini, and layered over a charcoal dress. Today I’m dressing it up with my white parachute skirt that’s kind of a summer staple.
When stumped with which necklace to wear, go with all of the above. In this case, I picked a minty tassel necklace and my new silvery beaded strand. (Yep, I made both. Message me if you want one.)
Same goes for bracelets. I couldn’t decide. The pearl strand I made years ago; it goes with everything in a neutral sort of casual, but pretty way. The other two are from a rainbow-ish set of plastic bangles I bought when I lived in Wilmington. I rarely wear them all together, but rather pick a couple at a time.
This delicious limone sorbetto helps keep me cool too. A perfect summer accessory!
And, of course, tassels — they add instant cool in the other sense. What’s your fave summer tee accessory?
