If you follow me on social media — if you don’t, you should — you likely know already how stoked I am to be taking part in this year’s Rock & Shop Market. For. Real. PUMPED! This isn’t just a craft show, it’s an all day extravaganza of awesome. Local artists. Local bands. Food trucks. Good beer. Awesome times.
As if all of that wasn’t good enough already, it’s also Small Business Saturday — November 30th, just ONE week away. Thanksgiving is for family + friends. “Black Friday” is for staying in, being lazy, possibly watching reruns of Dexter, and sipping a glass (or two) of wine while recovering from the food coma brought on by the feast of yesterday. Small Business Saturday, however, is for shopping. It’s for heading out to the Durham Armory and showing off how bad-ass you are for supporting local artisans + musicians. It’s for eating food made in tiny trucks. It’s for throwing back a tasty-fine craft brew while you buy gifts for the ones you love, taking momentary breaks to get your dance on.
Cool. So, I’ll see you there, right? (Damn skippy, I better.) Oh yeh, if you’re one of the first 100, you get a nifty tote bag. Do it.
