I am thinking it might be fun (maybe more for you, than me) to share some old jewelry photos each Thursday. You know, for “Throwback Thursday.” I will say, that most of my pieces were really quite good, but my photos, not so much. This could get a little embarrassing, but let’s do it.
I’m kicking this TBT series off with these lovely earrings because I actually had a request for them recently. This pair I really love — nothing at all embarrassing about these sweeties. I did touch up the photo a bit and it’s still not great, but the earrings are keepers. These original handmade earrings feature abalone shell buttons with a mix of sterling silver — hand-formed + hammered — and copper. I was living in Wilmington when I made these, so it was probably about eight years ago when I took this photo. The earrings have aged quite gracefully and are one of my favorite easy-to-wear-with-anything pairs.
Since I had a special request for these, I’m planning to make a couple of sets to list in the shop next week!
