A few years ago at The Handmade Market in Raleigh, NC, I came across a booth with some of the loveliest little woodsy pieces of jewelry — bunnies, deer, birds, all so small and sweet. Even their name was great: Figs & Ginger. Truth be told, I didn’t buy anything that day and I didn’t really chat, but I grabbed a card and tucked it away for safekeeping.
Not too many months later, the girls at work and I headed off to New York City to attend the National Stationery Show… low and behold, who had another fantastic booth set up?! Figs & Ginger. I made sure to chat that time. (Since, I’ve even featured them on my work blog twice!)
Well, I had spotted this adorable love birds necklace awhile back and I knew I wanted to incorporate it into my wedding jewelry. I ordered just the charm so that I could work it into a handmade necklace of my own — it was the perfect addition and got so many compliments! I wear it alone on a sterling chain now and just love its simple sweetness.
